RipScore is a casual scorekeeping companion for golf rounds and tournaments played with friends. It helps you set up game formats, track strokes and putts, and share results with your group live on the course. It's built for fun, organized golf — not as an official scoring, handicap, or ratings authority.
RipScore is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the USGA, GHIN, or any official handicapping body. Any link to GHIN.com is provided only as a convenience. Posting scores for handicap purposes is entirely your own responsibility, done directly through GHIN or your club — RipScore does not submit anything on your behalf. The "RipScore Index" shown on your Profile page, if you're logged in and have enough eligible rounds, is an unofficial, in-app estimate only — it is not, and is not a substitute for, an official USGA Handicap Index or GHIN number, and can't be used anywhere an official handicap is required.
Joining an existing round or tournament with a share code doesn't require creating an account. Starting a new round or tournament, in any game format, along with GPS, satellite hole views, Side Games, stats, the RipScore Index, and groups, requires a RipScore account. Once a round or tournament is created, it's accessed using a share code — anyone with that code can view or enter scores for it, regardless of whether they're logged in, so treat your codes the way you'd treat access to a shared document, and only share them with people you actually want in your group.
If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything done through your account. You can delete your account at any time from the app; see the Privacy Policy for what that removes.
You agree to use RipScore for its intended purpose — organizing and tracking casual golf play — and not to misuse it, attempt to disrupt it, or use it to harm, harass, or deceive other players. You're responsible for the accuracy of the names, scores, and other information you or your group enter.
Some game formats reference a prize or settling up at the 19th hole. Any money, prizes, or wagers exchanged between players are agreements solely between those players. RipScore does not facilitate, process, hold, or guarantee any payment, and takes no responsibility for disputes about them.
RipScore is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We work to keep scores accurate and the app available, but we can't guarantee it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or available — especially out on the course, where connectivity isn't always reliable. To the fullest extent the law allows, RipScore and its creator aren't liable for any loss, dispute, or damages arising from your use of the app, including lost or inaccurate score data.
RipScore is an evolving, independent project. Features, game formats, and these terms may change as the app improves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when that happens.
